PERSONAL: Sherwood, Arkansas native, graduated from University of Arkansas at Monticello in 1994, earning a degree in Marketing...attended Sylvan Hills High School in Atlanta, GA...while coaching at Dallas Baptist University, worked to earn his masters in married to wife, Angie; three kids, Ryan, Anna, and Ava. 

COACHING CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: 2019 marks his first season in professional baseball/Major League Baseball after nine seasons at the college level...becomes the first pitching coach in major league history to make the jump directly to the major leagues from college...helped guide Arkansas to runner-up finish at the 2018 College World Series...helped lead Mississippi State to the 2016 SEC regular season title and reached the NCAA Super Regionals in his only season for the Bulldogs... in 2016, six Mississippi State pitchers were selected in the First-Year Player Draft, most notably Dakota Johnson 34th overall by St. 2015, at Dallas Baptist, Johnson had five pitchers chosen in the first 12 rounds, more than any Southeastern Conference school...during his collegiate tenure 30 pitchers were drafted by major league teams...prior to coaching collegiately, he spent four seasons as the head coach of Abundant Life High School in Sherwood, Arkansas, guiding the Owls to a 102-25 overall record...led ALHS to two straight state championships, winning in 2006 and 2007...coached American Legion from 1997-2007; 28 players signed an NCAA Letter of Intent.
