Young returns to Twins from disabled list
MINNEAPOLIS -- The Twins activated left fielder Delmon Young from the 15-day disabled list on Friday and optioned outfielder Rene Tosoni to Triple-A Rochester to make room on the 25-man roster.

Young, who had been on the disabled list retroactive to April 19 with a strained left oblique, hit .228 with a .286 on-base percentage and .281 slugging percentage in 16 games before his injury. He played in rehab games this week in extended Spring Training in Fort Myers, Fla., and felt no ill effects playing left field and swinging the bat.

Tosoni, meanwhile, batted .171/.237/.257 in 13 games with the Twins, hitting his first big league home run on Tuesday off Tigers right-hander Rick Porcello.
