Sox-Twins series finale rained out

CHICAGO -- Thursday night's contest between the Twins and White Sox has been postponed due to rain.

The game was rescheduled for June 9 at 1:05 p.m. CT, a mutual off-day for the two teams. It will be added on to the end of a previously scheduled three-game series between the two clubs.

The Twins will now head to Kansas City for a three-game series beginning Friday with the Royals. The weather forecast isn't ideal for that series either. It's calling for a 50 percent chance of rain on Friday and a 40 percent chance of rain on Saturday.

Due to Thursday's rainout, all of the Twins starting pitchers have been pushed back. Livan Hernandez will now start Friday's game against the Royals with Boof Bonser pitching on Saturday and Nick Blackburn starting Sunday. Scott Baker is scheduled to pitch Monday in the first of two games with the Tigers in Detroit. Tuesday's starter has yet to be determined.
