CHICAGO -- Twins infielder Nick Punto was scratched from the lineup for Thursday's series finale against the White Sox due to cramping in his left hamstring.
Punto was originally scheduled to start at second base. Brendan Harris took his place in the lineup following the late scratch.
The Twins said the move was a precautionary measure due to the cold weather in Chicago. The temperature at game time was 52 degrees with winds blowing out of the northeast at 14 mph.
Punto was coming off a 2-for-5 night at the plate in Wednesday's 13-1 victory in which he tallied five RBIs.
