Casilla exits after injuring finger in fifth

MINNEAPOLIS -- Twins second baseman Alexi Casilla left Friday night's game against the Brewers in the fifth inning with a sprained left middle finger and is listed as day-to-day.

Casilla grimaced after making a diving grab and throw to first on a hard hit grounder by Prince Fielder for the second out of the inning. He remained in the game as Corey Hart then hit his second homer of the night, a deep two-run shot to left field.

When Twins manager Ron Gardenhire came to the mound to take out starter Nick Blackburn following the long homer by Hart, Casilla indicated that he was still hurting. Twins assistant trainer Dave Pruemer came out to look at Casilla's hand and the two then exited the field together.

Nick Punto replaced Casilla at second base.
