Bass accepts Triple-A assignment
ANAHEIM -- Right-hander Brian Bass has accepted his assignment to Triple-A Rochester and is scheduled to report there on Friday.
Bass was offered an outright assignment to Rochester in order to clear room on the active roster for infielder Alexi Casilla. The pitcher, who was out of options, cleared waivers and could have become a free agent had he refused the assignment.
In 44 relief appearances for the Twins this season, Bass was 3-4 with a 4.87 ERA.
