Twins Outright Nick Blackburn


Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have outrighted right-handed pitcher Nick Blackburn to Triple-A Rochester.  Blackburn went 4-9 with a 7.39 ERA (98.2 ip, 81 er) in 19 starts for the Twins this season. The Twins will make a corresponding roster move on Tuesday to replace Blackburn.

Additionally, the Twins have outrighted infielder Tsuyoshi Nishioka.  Nishioka will remain on the Rochester roster.  The Twins now have 38 players on their 40-man roster.
