CHICAGO -- After sitting out Sunday with a sore hamstring, Josh Willingham returned to the starting lineup for Monday's series opener against the White Sox.
Willingham served as the designated hitter, batting fourth.
"He says he's good to go," Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said. "The trainers said their preference is to have him DH rather than play out there in left today and then we'll see tomorrow.
In his first season with the Twins, Willingham is two RBIs shy of tying his career high of 98 set last year.
