As the Minnesota Twins season draws to a close, the club today announced that they have drawn 2,776,354 fans during the 2012 season, the fourth most in club history.
Through the 81-game regular season in 2012, the Twins saw an average paid attendance of 34,276, placing the team 12th in the league in terms of overall attendance. In the AL Central Division, only the Detroit Tigers had greater overall attendance. Through three seasons at Target Field, the Twins have attracted a total of 9,168,101 fans (an average of 37,729 per game).
“The Twins are tremendously grateful to our loyal fans for making the Target Field experience one of the top experiences in professional sports,” said Dave St. Peter, Twins President. “While our performance on the field was not what we strive for, our fans have helped make 2012 a memorable year.”

The Twins have now drawn more than 2 million fans for the 14th time in franchise history.
