Mauer leads all AL catchers with a .335 average and a .417 on-base percentage. He also tops all Major League catchers with 17 doubles and 35 runs scored in 51 games.
Mauer was an All-Star last year for the fifth time in his career and was the Twins' lone representative in the Midsummer Classic. He was voted in as a starter from 2008-10 and was the leading vote-getter in the Majors in '10.
Mauer is the only Twins player among the top five at their position, including the top 15 outfielders, in the balloting for the All-Star Game.
