Twins-Nats opener postponed due to rain

WASHINGTON -- The Twins' scheduled game with the Nationals on Friday at Nationals Park was postponed due to inclement weather, and will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Sunday.

The Twins will play their originally scheduled game at 12:35 p.m. CT on Sunday before playing again at 6:05 p.m. CT as part of a split doubleheader.

The rotation will also remain in the same order with right-hander Kevin Correia starting on Saturday and being followed by left-hander Scott Diamond and right-hander Samuel Deduno on Sunday.

Friday marked the fifth time this season that the Twins have had a game postponed due to weather. They had three games postponed and Target Field -- against the Mets, Marlins and Angels in April -- and another against the White Sox at U.S. Cellular Field in Chicago.
