Twins option Liam Hendriks


Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN - The Minnesota Twins announced after tonight's game that they have optioned right-handed pitcher Liam Hendriks to Triple-A Rochester. Hendriks was recalled today to pitch the second game of the Twins scheduled split doubleheader in Chicago. He pitched 6.1 innings allowing two runs on seven hits (two home runs) but did not factor into the decision.

Hendriks has made three starts for the Twins this season, going 0-1, with a 3.94 ERA (16.0 IP, 7 ER) with two walks and eight strikeouts.
