Twins Trade Jamey Carroll to the Royals


Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN - The Minnesota Twins announced that they have traded infielder Jamey Carroll to the Kansas City Royals for a player to be named later or cash. In 59 games this season with the Twins, Carroll hit .230 (44-for-191) with six doubles and nine RBI. Signed by the Twins prior to the 2011 season, Carroll has spent part of 12 seasons with Montreal, Washington, Colorado, Cleveland, Los Angeles (NL) and Minnesota.

The Twins will make a corresponding roster move prior to their game with the Cleveland Indians tomorrow.
