Twins sign Matt Guerrier to a Minor League contract

Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN - The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have signed right-handed pitcher Matt Guerrier to a minor league contract with an invitation to Major League camp.

The 35-year old Guerrier made 393 appearances (three starts) for the Twins from 2004-2010 with a 3.38 ERA (472.0 IP, 177 ER) and five saves. He signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers as a free agent in 2011, and was traded to the Chicago Cubs last July before a flexor tendon injury cut his 2013 season short after 49 appearances.

Guerrier has posted a 3.51 ERA (595.0 IP, 232 ER) over 528 career appearances (three starts) with the Twins, Dodgers and Cubs.
