Minnesota Twins announce plans for Sid Hartman Day at Target Field

MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Minnesota Twins, in conjunction with the Star Tribune and WCCO Radio, today announced plans to honor longtime sports reporter and Minnesota legend Sid Hartman during a special pregame ceremony at Target Field on Sunday, May 18 prior to the 1:10 p.m. matchup against the Seattle Mariners.

A special ticket package for the event includes a seat in the Field Box ($35) or Home Plate Terrace ($34) seating section as well as an exclusive limited-edition Sid Hartman bobblehead (limited to the first 1,000 fans to purchase a ticket package). In addition, the first 10,000 fans who are 18 years old or older will receive a ceramic coffee mug featuring famous Sid Hartman quotes from throughout his esteemed career.

"The Twins are proud to honor Sid's many contributions to the Minnesota sports scene during his long and illustrious career," said Dave St. Peter, Twins President. "Sid is definitely one-of-a-kind and the team and our fans look forward to paying tribute on May 18."

Prior to the game, fans can watch a live broadcast of WCCO radio's Sports Huddle with Sid and Dave on Target Plaza from 9:30 a.m. until Noon. The broadcast will feature a number of special guests as well as a fan question and answer session with the legendary broadcaster.
