Twins Place Arcia on Disabled List, Will Select Contract of Mastroianni

Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN - The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have placed outfielder Oswaldo Arcia on the 15-day disabled list with a right wrist strain (retroactive to April 5).

To replace Arcia on the 25-man roster, the Twins will select the contract of outfielder Darin Mastroianni from Triple-A Rochester prior to tomorrow's game with Oakland. Mastroianni has appeared in four games with the Red Wings this season, hitting .450 (9-for-20) with two doubles and two RBI. He appeared in 30 games with the Twins in 2013, hitting .185 (12-for-65) with five RBI.

Mastroianni will wear number 19.
