PERSONAL: Eugene Patrick Glynn...wife Julie, sons Gino and Christopher...graduated from Waseca (MN) High School in 1975 where he was an All-American in both basketball and baseball and was named the first ever "Mr. Basketball" in the state of Minnesota...attended Minnesota State University-Mankato from 1975-79 where he played baseball and basketball...participates annually in Twins Winter Caravan.

COACHING CAREER: Named Twins third base coach November 12, 2014...2016 marks his 24th season as professional coach...spent 10 seasons as a third base coach for Colorado (1996-98), Chicago-NL (2000-02) and San Francisco (2003-06)...served three seasons as Triple-A Rochester manager from 2012-14...served as pro scout for Tampa Bay Rays from 2007-11...served as first base coach for Montreal in 1999...began the 1995 season as the Rockies minor league field coordinator (also in this role in 1993), but following Don Zimmer's resignation was promoted to role of first base coach for the Rockies...made major league coaching debut as Rockies first base coach in 1994...served as manager for Single-A Bend in 1992 and won division title...was the manager for San Diego's Single-A Spokane from 1990-91 and was named Northwest League Manager of the Year in 1990 after team went 49-27 and won a league championship...was a minor league coach/manager for the Montreal Expos system from 1985-89 at various levels...made coaching debut in Montreal system as a player/coach for Triple-A Indianapolis.

PLAYING CAREER: Played seven seasons in the minor leagues from 1979-85 in Montreal's system, hitting .230 (308-for-1340) with 48 doubles, 11 triples, seven home runs, 137 RBI and 244 runs scored in 525 games...played third base, second base and shortstop.

PROFESSIONAL: Signed by Montreal as an undrafted free agent in 1979.
